Our Team and Our Strategic Partners
Richard G. Stock, M.A., FCIS, CMC
Richard
is the founding partner of Catalyst Consulting. He has been working with lawyers for more than
35 years - first as a client representative, then as a legal executive with a national firm,
and for the last 18 years as a legal services consultant. His practice is focused
on corporate/government legal departments. Consulting engagements cover the
spectrum of business strategy, organizational issues, performance and legal economics.
Richard is a frequent speaker at conferences and publishes regularly. He has completed more than 500 consulting
engagements for law departments, law firms and legal associations
in Canada, the U.S., Australia and Europe over the last 18 years.
Richard is a serious cook. His research extended to on-site sampling in Italy in 2004, Napa, Paris, Savannah and Australia in 2005, and New Zealand in 2006. He
has returned to Paris, Australia and New Zealand several times in the last few years in the never-ending quest for culinary appreciation.

Denis Lessard, B.B.A.
Denis has been with Catalyst since 1995,
mostly on a part-time basis. He currently supports us on wide
variety of consulting engagements. Among other things, he compiles
data from benchmarking and client satisfaction surveys and
participates in the analyses of law firm financial information and
outside counsel data. He is also very useful in supporting the team
when computer glitches occur on the road. Denis graduated from Bishop's University in the Eastern Townships with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
In addition to his Catalyst work, he busies himself on a full-time basis with the professional development and education of a 70 000-strong Canadian governmental organisation.
