ACLA / CLANZ Legal Benchmarking Report The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (ACLA) and the Corporate Lawyers Association of New Zealand (CLANZ) have recently released a Legal Department Benchmarking Report to corporate leaders in Australia and New Zealand responsible for the legal function in their organisations. An on-line survey was conducted in November 2007 to gather a vast array of information on how legal business is conducted in 125 corporations / government departments. The report provided benchmarking data designed to help manage legal departments. The survey collected information on
Catalyst Consulting is ACLA’s Program Partner and facilitated a nation-wide seminar series across Australia in 2008. Report findings were analysed and presented by Richard Stock for both survey participants and non-participants. For a fee payable to ACLA, the full report is available to non-participants as well as survey participants.
Corporate Counsel Exchange The West Coast Corporate Counsel Exchange (www.corporatecounselexchange.com), to be held on December 6th - 8th, 2009, is an invitation-only gathering for C-level in-house legal executives from America’s leading corporations. The Exchange consists of highly crafted, executive level conference sessions, interactive "Brain Weave" discussions, engaging networking opportunities and strategic one-on-one advisory meetings between solution providers and delegates. Included are a distinguished speaking faculty from Yahoo!, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, AOL, L.G and Time Warner, amongst others.
